Alan Bloor, under the guise of both Knurl and Pholde, creates some of the most original inspired music in the ambient genre. using sculptures he creates himself using scrap metal, Bloor unleashes a previously hidden music. with Knurl, Bloor explores the harder edges and abrasive noise inherent in his metallic artwork, while Pholde is a study of the more untreated natural resonance of metal struck, bowed and otherwise manipulate. a truly original artist and a spellbinding performer.
