"Wally Jericho has collaborated and performed with many of the brightest lights in Toronto's music scene, but to this point his own solo output has seen very limited release. Until now. I'm pleased to say that this situation is being corrected by Wally's simultaneous release of three collections of his work. Of particular note is "Deep Blue", taken from a show at the Ambient Ping in February of 2000. Steeped in processed trumpet and sparse guitar work, this is the sort of sound that I've come to associate with Wally. A sort of minimal space jazz sound reminiscent of late Summer Sunday nights spent listening to alien radio stations as you drive through the country, passing through towns without names, a long stretch of highway your only friend. Dreamy, hypnotic, wonderful. It's no wonder that everybody wants to play with him..."
